Gosar Votes No on Pelosi Takeover of Local Police Departments

Today, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) released the following statement after voting against the House Democrat's one sided policing bill:

"Today I voted against Nancy Pelosi's one sided, ill-conceived policing bill. As brave police officers around the country are being attacked by radical insurrectionist rioters, the House majority remains silent and instead attacks hard working public servants who keep our streets safe. This bill was passed without a full committee process, police input or any input from Republicans.

Congressional Democrats continue to be ruled by emotion instead of facts. Congress must get serious and allow all sides to be heard, including police officers who have first hand knowledge on the difficulties of arresting violent suspects. Instead, Nancy Pelosi has chosen to be beholden to violent rioters and has no interest in actually legislating for the American people."
