Gosar Announces Federal Funding for Laughlin Bullhead International Airport

WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to the Department of Transportation’s notice to award $508,086 to Mohave County to reconstruct the access road for the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport.

“I am pleased to announce that Mohave County will receive this critical funding to reconstruct the access road to Laughlin Bullhead International Airport. The airport is an important gateway to the region and provides critical charter service to the community and surrounding areas.  These funds will help ensure the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport is best-positioned for future growth,” said Rep. Gosar.

Jeremy Keating, Airport Director of the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport said “the grant for access to road improvements makes our project whole from this year. There was a shortage on funding for our project and we are very appreciative of this grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.”

Background:
On April 1, 2021, The Federal Aviation Administration issued a Notice of Grant Award to Mohave County to provide $508,086 in federal funding for the Laughlin Bullhead International Airport to reconstruct 4,180 feet of the existing access road that has reached the end of its useful life.
