Gosar Announces Funding for Lake Havasu Municipal Airport

WASHINGTON D.C. - Today, Representative Paul Gosar, D.D.S (AZ-04) issued the following statement in response to the Department of Transportation’s decision to award $204,884 to the City of Lake Havasu City to rehabilitate the runway of the Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport.

“I am pleased to announce that Lake Havasu City Municipal Airport will receive this critical funding to rehabilitate its runway. The airport is frequently used for transient, short-term and long-term air traffic by those in the community and surrounding area. Importantly, the airport provides timely and critical air transport services to those needing emergency medical assistance,” said Rep. Gosar.

Buster Johnson, Mohave County Supervisor District III, said “this grant that Congressman Gosar helped acquire for our airport is a life-saver for our emergency medivac customers. It will strengthen our economic development and will be used to maintain and attract private pilots who rely on the airport for general aviation.”
