“The work of art is a scream of freedom.”  -Christo

PRESCOTT, AZ - This week, Congressman Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-04) announced the winners of Arizona's Fourth Congressional District Art Contest. This yearly contest, first started in 1982 and with over 650,000 participants since then, selects the best art of the year from high school art students. The top four were selected from a panel of local judges and the "People's Choice" winner was selected via online voting.

The first place winner received an $8,000 scholarship to Northern Arizona University and his artwork will hang in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol for one year. Any member of the public is free to peruse the hanging artwork at the Capitol. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and students who submitted artwork this year. We truly have some talented artists in our District.
